Welcome to the Call of the West website, the place to come to find out all about Jeanne Cahill and Jerome Campbell.

Exquisite harmonies, top-notch musicianship, and on-stage fun add spice to lively
western tunes, country standards, cowboy poetry, western swing favorites, and originals when Call of the West entertain you. Besides their lead and harmony vocals, they both possess formidable instrumental skills - Jerome is the 2006 Merle Travis National Thumbpicking Champion, Jeanne was nominated for the 2006 and 2007 Western Music Association Instrumentalist of the Year, and Call of the West is nominated for 2007 Western Music Association Traditional Duo/Group of the Year.

They have performed together since 1989, and will play a variety of instruments, including guitars, mandolin, upright bass, steel guitar, concertina, and harmonica. Jerome and Jeanne regularly appear at western music festivals, country and folk music events, community get-togethers, schools, libraries, RV resorts and rallies across the U.S. and abroad. They have been featured on RFD-TV’s “Best of America by Horseback”, and “Midwest Country Theater”.

They are also harmony singers and backup musicians for a number of western and country performers, including Lynn Anderson, Les Gilliam, Rollie Stevens, and Jon Messenger, and they produce recordings for a variety of artists, as well.

Their own recording projects include several western duo albums, two country albums with their good friends, Tex & Mary Schutz, a solo original music album by Jeanne, a gospel album and a solo thumbpicking album by Jerome.

As members of the Oklahoma Arts Council and Mid-America Arts Alliance touring rosters, the duo travels across the Midwest, teaching youngsters and older folks alike about the music that helped to build this country. They specialize in re-creating the spirit of the Old West, bringing back the memories of the great singing cowboys and cowgirls, and sharing the sounds of traditional and contemporary western music.

Dust off your hats and boots and prepare to be entertained by Call of the West.
